Fertility Reflexology
Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the Reflexology treatment?
The first session includes a consultation, which provides Nichola with your medical history, general health and lifestyle. This is then followed by a reflexology treatment.
Each treatment plan is unique to the client and will vary, depending on the client’s needs and conditions. A treatment plan will be discussed at the first session but, as a general guide to gain the maximum benefit from reflexology, it is recommended that you initially have 4 to 6 treatments on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
The initial treatment, including consultation, lasts around 90 minutes with subsequent treatments being 55 minutes.
What should I wear?
You should preferably wear loose clothing, as this will make you feel more comfortable. You will remain fully clothed throughout the treatment apart from the removal of your shoes and socks.
How many treatments should I have?
This can vary with each client, but to make a significant change to your condition it is recommended that a course of treatments - preferably 4 to 6 - may be beneficial for you. If there is an improvement after this time, you may wish to extend this to fortnightly or monthly sessions to help maintain good health.
How will I feel after my treatment?
Clients react in different ways to their treatment. You may experience a feeling of wellbeing and relaxation or you may feel quite tired and drained emotionally. This is perfectly natural and will pass, as it is part of the healing process that reflexology works on. An aftercare leaflet will be given to you at your initial treatment.
It is advisable to drink stay hydrated during the 24 hours following your treatment , as this will help eliminate toxins that have been released during treatment. It is also advisable to avoid alcohol and substantial meals for that day in order to gain maximum benefits from your session.
Can people without a medical condition receive Reflexology?
Yes. Many people receive Reflexology to help them unwind after a day at work or for gentle relaxation.
Reflexology can aid wellbeing, sleep, relaxation and the release of tension generally.
